yes.
...!
Aphex Twin does Nobukazu Takemura's "Let My Fish Loose"? The sinking, ventricle-heavy clarinet over the sweaty thumbs of bass and the strings will take me to bed on a pad of lilies. This is the only thing that made today worth it.

welcome to my psyche, when the shadow has been playing for far too long. i want this played at my funeral. i love you, universe. thank you.

biosphere.
Biosphere is one of those bands I listen to when I'm in a disconnected place, although it lifts me closer to the invariable churning of the spheres, however:

Biosphere's "Black Lamb & Grey Falcon" is subtly, veritably terrifying.
Here, experience this and relish this for yourselves, and discuss it with me here!

the comms, they're unity.
One ensemble with whom I've been obsessed lately via MySpace is the classical minimalism of Sickle Tree, and I'm pleased to announce that Kevin, Mr. Sickle Tree, has just now contacted me and wishes to collaborate on a piece together. I think I'm going to send him "Spring Cleaning", but I can't be sure. I'm letting him choose.

[info]paravati has been doing her gorgeous part in giving me new music to digest, such as George Winston, Herbaliser, mixes by DJ Food, and things like that. I must confess I haven't really been listening to music unless it's been recommended to me. I go through vacillating stages of tiring of the music I already posses; it's a nice change.

[info]audiography is a community where I lurk; this week's theme is Drug Music, and I have Placebo & Depeche Mode in mind. I'm half-hoping someone else posts these. If you haven't checked this community out, I demand that you do so. It's very educating.

[info]deeperresonance has about thirty or so members now. I can't believe this has really blown up. I'm pleased. In my constant streams of currently harbored, beckoned afflation, I've been working on various writing projects with a couple of the members. We'll see how they turn out.

And, lastly, [info]belletristicsex is a generic writing community I created a few years ago. It's how I met such lovely people as [info]appleheather and have blissfully witnessed [info]she_says indubitably blossom into a literary maven. If you're into it, join this community so we can bring it back to life!

That's all for now. Community is the order of the day.

requests for my babies.
Some of you on my friends list here are amateur photographers, and I have some requests for you. For the publication of my website, I am looking for black and white photos of pianos, their keyboards, various angelic statues, handcuffs, and shadow/light dynamic of particularly nothing. I'm not looking for Man Ray version Two Point Oh, but it's close. These pictures are to be simplistic but very bold. No nudity, no pictures of people, just train graveyards and pianos; nothing like a cemetery piece, although some of the statues of mourning are very intriguing to me.

If you can pull this off for me, or you know someone who can, that would be greatly appreciated. We will negotiate a price. Your payment will also include a link to your LJ or your website and a special place in the credits page and also a very special place in my heart. There are a few of you with which I'd love to collaborate:

[info]paravati, because you're FUCKING GIFTED, OMG.
[info]everette1_, because I love what you do with chandeliers.
[info]ephemeron_split, because you're my sister and I love you.
[info]kalinz23, because you're also incredibly gifted.
[info]sanat, because I would love for you to be involved.

Also, for this website, I want there to be a blurb, kind of an introduction, about my music and its effects on other people. I have several of you in mind to write this part for me:

[info]synchronaut, because you coined the phrase "she moves ethereal" and you're a wonderful poet.
[info]appleheather, because I'm in love with your lyrics/prose/poetry.
[info]kelsietrpt, because you're a brilliant writer.
[info]aeforge, because I admire you like a daughter would a father.
[info]chalkdustmonkey, because I just love you.

If the rest of you want to be involved somehow, I encourage you to! I'm trying to get ShiverSkin dot Com under way, after about a year of sitting on it. If some of you wish to volunteer some of your other resources to its launch, I am more than willing to let you!

the deeper resonance: children of the matrix.
I bring to your attention [info]deeperresonance, the writing community of Shadowrun fiction here on LiveJournal. The community was inspired by a manic creativity rush my husband fueled from the other room. We, [info]mrtilley and myself, are the maintainers. Even if you don't have anything to write, or you're not really into Shadowrun, I encourage you to join. It'll give us all something to read and enjoy.

There are a couple of you I would love to have on this list, and you are as follows:

spoiling is the order of the day.
I enjoy spoiling my cronies whenever I have the chance to do so. With my Neil Gaiman refund, I decided to take Derek and Tawnia out to dinner to Tokyo, a very obvious and as-such queer title for a sushi bar. I made dinner reservations for us tomorrow at 5:45. Raw fish on the Lord's Day of Rest! It doesn't get any more Biblical than that, you know. ;)

--

Anxious about moving to Tulsa. There's still a lot I need to tie up here before I relocate. I haven't spent much time there, but the experiences I've collected are very positive and emotionally convalescent. That's why I'm doing this: rebirth and restoration. I have a request for you guys while I'm there sans internet access. Send me books! Poetry, science fiction, anything you think I'd like! I have a couple of books I'm already taking with me, but I want pieces of you darling lot to accompany me on my new journey.

--

Derek and Tawnia and Ryan and myself have a dinner and movie date tonight; Rystie's at work, but when he gets off, hopefully here in the next couple of hours, we're going to the store to pick up some tasty vegetables. Derek has never seen, what [info]fourish has affectionately entitled Bateman Begins, so we're going to watch that tonight before the D&T make the trek to the movie theater to partake of The Dark Knight.

My darling neighbor best-crony family is moving to the other side of town at the end of the month. I'm crestfallen about this, because I'm spoiled in hanging out with my woman while the guys are at work. After July, I can no longer traverse the courtyard over to my favorite family and tell stories and pace around and play with the kids and love on their cats. They're getting a house, which is great for their family, however it isn't great for my Psyche. Sad Face. Derek's birthday is on the 24th; I was in Illinois for Tawnia's birthday, but I bought her a necklace and gave it to her the other night. I hope she likes it. Ryan and I are still debating what to get Derek for hardcore celebratory madness plummeting him closer to thirty; I want to get Tawnia another gift. She loves stuffed animals, and I just damn love her.

More later!
